Welcome to the website of SCV, a foundation for the certification of Food Safety.

SCV was founded in 2004 by the National Board of Experts (NBE) and her associated Certification Bodies. SCV acts as a governing body for the NAB who’s main focus is the development and maintenance of the Dutch certification system 'Requirements for an HACCP based Food Safety System'©, also known as Dutch HACCP.

SCV's primary activities are the facilitation and administration of all activities of the NBE. SCV is also the legal owner of the 'Requirements' and therefore sets up and maintains the licence agreements with accredited Certification Bodies. SCV also acts as a spokesperson for Dutch HACCP certification in international platforms on food safety, e.g. ISO 22000 committee. Since 2009 the foundation also facilitates the Food Safety System Certification scheme 22000 (FSSC 22000) and the Board of Stakeholders (www.fssc22000.com).

The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point-system is a World Health Organisation adopted an internationally renowned system (www.codexalimentarius.net) for the processing of safe foods. The Dutch 'Requirements' are based on the Codex Alinorm, which contains the HACCP principles. The Dutch 'Requirements are a worldwide recognised system for the processing of safe foods, implemented by a vast number of food processing and distribution companies since 1996.
